Raise Your Standard of Giving: A Life Lesson on Gratitude, Kindness and Abundance

Raise your standard of living

Sometimes Life Teaches Us Through Unexpected Encounters

There are moments in life that no book, seminar, or spiritual teaching can explain as deeply as a real-life experience.

One such moment happened to me on a cold winter night.

It was late. The roads were quiet, and most people were already in the comfort of their homes with their families. As I was returning home, I noticed two young boys on a bicycle. They were out working despite the freezing weather. Their clothes were thin, their hands were cold, and yet they were smiling.

For a moment, I simply stood there watching them.

I couldn’t stop thinking about a simple question:

*”While many of us complain about what we don’t have, how many people are still fighting every day just to survive?”*

That night touched my heart in a way I cannot fully describe.

The Problem Is Not Lack of Money

Many people believe that financial abundance is the ultimate goal of life.

They spend years working hard, building careers, growing businesses, and chasing financial security. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting prosperity. In fact, I believe abundance is a natural part of life.

However, over the years, I have learned something important.

Money itself is not the final destination.

The real question is:

What kind of person are we becoming as we receive more abundance?

Unfortunately, many people increase their lifestyle as their income grows, but very few increase their contribution to society.

A Quote That Changed My Perspective

There is a quote that deeply resonates with me:

“When God blesses you financially, don’t raise your standard of living. Raise your standard of giving.”

Every time I read these words, I am reminded that abundance is not just about receiving.

Abundance is also about sharing.

What the Law of Attraction Really Teaches

Many people know me for my work in the Law of Attraction, Tarot, Meditation, and Dowsing.

One thing I often tell my students is that the Law of Attraction is not only about manifesting money, relationships, or success.

At its highest level, it is about becoming a better human being.

When your heart expands, your energy expands.

When you help others, you create positive ripples that go far beyond what you can see.

Giving does not always mean donating large amounts of money.

Sometimes giving means:

* Offering encouragement to someone who feels hopeless.
* Sharing knowledge that helps another person grow.
* Listening to someone who feels unheard.
* Providing support during difficult times.
* Helping a child who simply needs warmth and kindness.

These acts may seem small, but they carry immense power.

A Lesson From Those Two Children

They Had Less, Yet They Smiled More

What struck me most that night was not their struggle.

It was their attitude.

Despite their circumstances, they were smiling.

Despite the cold weather, they were working.

Despite life’s challenges, they had not given up.

Many people with comfortable lives spend their days worrying, complaining, and focusing on what is missing.

Yet here were two children teaching a lesson in gratitude without saying a single word.

That experience reminded me that happiness is not always connected to possessions.

Often, it is connected to perspective.

Gratitude Changes Everything

One of the most powerful spiritual practices I know is gratitude.

When we focus only on what is lacking, life feels heavy.

When we appreciate what we already have, our energy begins to shift.

This does not mean we stop pursuing our goals.

It simply means we stop living in constant dissatisfaction.

Gratitude creates peace.

Peace creates clarity.

And clarity helps us make better decisions.

The Hidden Connection Between Giving and Receiving

Why Generosity Attracts More Abundance

Over the years, I have noticed a fascinating pattern.

The people who give the most are often the people who experience the greatest fulfillment.

This is not because they are trying to get something in return.

It is because giving creates a mindset of abundance.

When we believe there is enough to share, we naturally move away from fear and scarcity.

Generosity changes how we see the world.

It shifts our focus from “What can I get?” to “How can I contribute?”

And that shift often transforms our lives in unexpected ways.

Karma and the Energy of Giving

Whether you call it karma, universal law, or simply human connection, every action creates an effect.

Kindness creates kindness.

Compassion creates compassion.

Generosity creates generosity.

The energy we send into the world has a way of returning to us in different forms.

Sometimes it returns as opportunities.

Sometimes as support.

Sometimes as peace of mind.

And sometimes as a deep sense of purpose.

How You Can Raise Your Standard of Giving

You do not need to wait until you become wealthy.

You can begin today.

Consider asking yourself:

* Can I help someone this week?
* Can I support a child in need?
* Can I share knowledge that benefits others?
* Can I volunteer my time?
* Can I bring hope into someone’s life?

Small actions, repeated consistently, create extraordinary change.

Final Thoughts

That cold night lasted only a few minutes.

But the lesson stayed with me forever.

The two children may never know the impact they had on my thinking, yet they reminded me of something that many of us forget in our busy lives.

Success is not measured only by what we accumulate.

It is also measured by what we contribute.

As we continue our journey toward abundance, prosperity, and personal growth, let us remember that true wealth is not just about having more.

It is about becoming more.

More compassionate.

More grateful.

More generous.

Because in the end, the most meaningful legacy we leave behind is not what we owned.

It is the lives we touched.

With love and blessings,
